Job Summary:
The Production Coordinator for Sexy Nerds is responsible for the logistical setup and successful execution of equipment and production elements for our signature parties. This role is hands-on and requires an individual with the ability to manage the transportation, setup, operation, and breakdown of event equipment. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and has a keen eye for detail, ensuring that each Sexy Nerds party runs smoothly and creates an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Management:
Retrieve event equipment from storage facilities promptly at designated times.
Transport equipment to event venues safely and efficiently.
Setup and Installation:
Set up all production equipment, including but not limited to, audio systems, lighting, video game systems and tv screens, and any special party effects or decor. All set up done to company standards. Insuring they are functional and safe.
Coordinate with the venue staff to ensure the event space meets the requirements and standards of Sexy Nerds.
Event Operation:
Remain active and available during Sexy Nerds parties to monitor and operate equipment.
Ensure the event's vibe and crowd are managed effectively, addressing any issues promptly.
Standards and Safety:
Be on site, to assure the party space operates safely and cleanly.
Respond to and resolve any technical or safety issues that arise during the event.
Breakdown and Storage:
Efficiently and carefully break down equipment at the end of the event to standards, any cleaning where needed.
Return equipment to storage the next morning, ensuring all items are accounted for and stored securely.
Travel and Transport:
Willingness and ability to transport and operate equipment in different cities is a plus.
Manage all travel logistics when events are held in locations other than the primary city.
Maintenance and Inventory:
Conduct regular maintenance checks on all equipment.
Keep a detailed inventory and report any damages or losses.
Key Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of transporting event equipment.
Previous experience in event production, particularly with setup and operation of audio and lighting equipment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Problem-solving ability and adaptability to handle unexpected challenges.
Physical ability to lift and transport heavy equipment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A passion for creating lively and engaging party atmospheres.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working unconventional hours, including late evenings and early mornings.
The job requires physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and setting up equipment.
Travel to different cities may be a scenario occasionally.
Compensation:
The role offers approximately $35+/hr plus expenses related to transportation and equipment handling.
